Fair Trade fabric order time!

Okay, this time I really mean it. I am going to place an order with Bishopston Trading, before they run out of their Autumn/Winter colours!

You can see the colours here, but the page might take a while to load.

The fabric is 122cm wide (slightly narrower than mass-produced fabric), and each piece is 18-19 metres long.
It's a lightweight cotton, similar to a shirting weight.

For an 18-19 metre piece, I am asking for £60.
For half a piece (approximately 9 metres), I am asking for £30.

These prices cover the cost of the fabric, VAT, shipping from India to Bristol to me, and then onwards from me to you.

Please be aware that it can take up to three months for the fabric to arrive from India.

So far, I have people interested in the following:

[info]sigrid_stallard
½ piece Unbleached
½ piece Damson
½ piece Lapiz
½ piece Mallard
Total: 4 x ½ pieces = £120

[info]feanelwa
½ piece Chinablue
Total: 1 x ½ piece = £30

[info]ewtikins
½ piece Damson
½ piece Lapiz
½ piece Grape
½ piece Wine
½ piece Black
Total: 5 x ½ pieces = £150

Me!
½ piece Grape
½ piece Wine
½ piece Black
½ piece Unbleached
½ piece Mallard
½ piece Chinablue
1 piece Raspberry

I will require payment in advance - as soon as possible after the order has been confirmed.

Any more for any more?
Let me know, and I'll place the order this afternoon!

Did you get my two emails yesterday? Just realised I think I sent them to gothstuff addy!

I've just read them, and replied. :)

The gothstuff address will work until Christmas - after that it'll be gone forever! *sob*

I've poked [info]hairyears about this and told him to e-mail you...

I'd love a half piece each of Damson, Lapiz, Grape and Wine, and also some plain black, but I can't afford it so it is up to him I'm afraid. He does need some new shirts made sometime soon I think.

Thank you. I've made this post public too, so he can comment here if that's easier. :)

He says he has no plans to get shirts tailored but to go ahead and he will buy me fabric. So, yes, please, half a piece each of Damson, Lapiz, Grape, Wine, and plain Black.

Um. I'm spoilt rotten.

Oh, that's great! I've added them to the order. :)

Thank you!

What's the best email address to use for you? I'll send out an email to you, [info]feanelwa and [info]sigrid_stallard when Bishopston let me know when the fabric is on its way.

I am still happy with my choice. Tell me when you have decided and I can pp (paypal) you the money. I just wanted to write pp. I am a naughty, naughty girl. :)

I looks as though you will have to wait for people to make their mind up. It just sounds like a lot of money initially but it isn't really. The last cotton I bought was unbleached £6.00/m. And best of all the money will go to the right people.

Excellent, that's great!

I will wait until the end of the day, and place the order with whatever I've got. I'll be placing another order just after Christmas, I expect, when the new colours are available.

I know - it's taken me so long to place the order because £160 minimum order seems like a lot. But £3 a metre, for organic and fair-trade cotton, woven especially to your order? I'd happily pay double that if I had to!

I'll drop you an email when I need the cash. Isn't PayPal great? It's not like Real Money at all! ;)

I know, I have really come to like paypal. It is as save as a direct bank transfer and people cannot claim never to have got the money or that they cannot return your payment. :)

I fully agree with you on the quality of the cotton. Depending on what colours you choose, I may even then later ask for smaller peices out of your stash (?spelling)of cotton. Oh while you are ordering, could you ask them for multiple swatch samples again? It would be good if you could pass them to your partners in crime. ;)
